The Reserves progressed to the Quarter-Finals of the Suffolk Senior Cup on Saturday (17th October), following a 6-0 home win over Debenham LC.
Goals from Riley Coote, Alex Breeden (2), Aden Chandler, Josh Tennial and Henry Vieira guided Colin Grogan's side to victory at the Ruby Homes Bloomfields 3G Arena.
Forward Vieira said, "it’s a great win. Obviously 3-0 up in the first half. It was great to match that in the second half, not taking our foot of the gas.
"Overall I think it was definitely a good performance. I think it was our first clean sheet of the season so it shows we were strong all over the pitch today. So far it hasn’t been too great with only winning 1 game in the league. So it was nice to have a break from the league and show ourselves what we are capable of doing.
"Scoring that many goals is always great. Although we probably could have scored a few more. My goal was quite a decent move from the team. Working down the right side to find me on the edge of the box. I shifted the ball to the side of the defender and then found the bottom left corner."
On getting on the scoresheet, "it feels good to be getting some goals. It’s always the aim to win the match, but it’s always nice to get a goal as well."
The Young Marketmen travel to Newmarket Town Reserves on Tuesday (20th October, 7:45pm), on which Vieira added, "Newmarket was a tough game for us at the start of the season, however I think we have it in us to beat them on Tuesday night. It’s a must win game for us, I think if we play our football with the right aggression throughout the game, I think we will take all 3 points."
