Needham Market Football Club can confirm that Dave Clarke will be stepping down from his role as CEO next month, bringing to a close a significant chapter at the club.
Having dedicated 18 years to Needham Market FC, Dave’s contribution has gone far beyond the responsibilities of his role as CEO. He has given countless hours of his time to support the club, often taking on whatever job needed doing.
One of the most visible examples of Dave’s dedication has come in recent months with the major improvement works at Bloomfields. Dave has played a key role in the removal of the old stand, the construction of the new stand and scoreboard.
However, his contribution over the years extends much further than the ground redevelopment, extending to running the catering outlets, developing sponsorship relationships and setting the direction for the club, Dave has consistently been willing to roll up his sleeves and help wherever required.
Dave’s commitment, hard work and passion for Needham Market FC have made a significant impact both on and off the pitch. Dave will remain with the club as a supporter and trustee.
Chairman Keith Nunn says, “On behalf of all at the club I must thank you for all the commitment and hard work you have given the club over the last many years particularly in the last six years that you have served as CEO. The improvements that you have delivered to the infrastructure and ground have made the club's facilities the envy of all the non-league clubs in the county. As we discussed at your last management meeting before the game on Tuesday, we are all delighted that you will be continuing all your non-official roles at the club.”
As he prepares to step down as CEO at the end of the month, everyone at Needham Market Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dave for the enormous amount of time, energy and effort he has given to the club over the years.
Dave will also be sharing a personal letter with supporters, reflecting on his time as CEO and his many years with the club, which will be published shortly.
